This fall and winter we may be facing a critical shortage
of trained volunteers and staff
to respond to all hazard emergencies in our community
and in Bristol County.
We need as many as 500 additional Medical Reserve Corps volunteers to assist with mass vaccination clinics.
Additionally we never know when we may be facing
natural disasters such as hurricanes assaulting our coastline
or ice storms as we saw this past winter in the Worcester area requiring the opening of multiple shelters.
What you learn can help you and your family be better prepared to respond to emergencies.
Desperately needed are more Portuguese and Spanish interpreters.
