________________________________________________ "Massachusetts Responds: A Vaccinator Training" DPH Vaccinator Training Course An online educational tool and CME activity Sponsored by Massachusetts Medical Society and Massachusetts Department of Public Health's Bureau of Infectious Disease Prevention, Response and Services The course is based upon DPH's training sessions presented across the state. The format is a 3-module program including all the slides and resource materials in the areas of: 1) definition of influenza types, 2) the principles of vaccine management, 3) a description of vaccine preparation and administration techniques. Resource materials include all of the handouts, templates and forms utilized in the live sessions. The goal is to expand the reach of DPH's vaccinator training to those health professionals who may not have been able to attend one of the live sessions The course is now live. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health is offering the Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) training series for all MRC volunteers. The purpose of the training is to provide information on how to improve the quality of the services provided to diverse members of our community. It is built to help the elimination of racial and ethnic health disparities and makes services more responsive to the individual needs of clients. This training series focuses on providing culturally competent care and ensuring language access. The objective is to foster cultural competence and reflect and respect diversity while planning, evaluating, building community partnerships, and providing care.
