"Massachusetts Responds: A Vaccinator Training"
DPH Vaccinator Training Course
An online educational tool and CME activity
Sponsored by Massachusetts Medical Society and Massachusetts Department of
Public Health's Bureau
of Infectious Disease Prevention,
Response and Services
The course is based upon DPH's training sessions presented across the state.
The format is a 3-module program including
all the slides and resource materials
in the areas of:
1) definition of influenza types,
2) the principles of vaccine management,
3) a description of vaccine preparation and administration techniques.
Resource materials include all of the handouts,
templates and forms utilized in the live sessions.

Psychological First Aid

Puts the participant in the role of a provider in a post-disaster scene. This
professionally-narrated course is for individuals new to disaster response who want
to learn the core goals of Psychological First Aid,
as well as for seasoned practitioners who want a review.
It features innovative activities, video demonstrations, and mentor tips from the
nation’s trauma experts and survivors.
PFA online also offers a Learning Community where participants
can share experiences using PFA in the field, receive guidance during times of
disaster, and obtain additional resources and training.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health
is offering the
Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services
(CLAS) training series for all MRC volunteers.
The purpose of the training is to provide
information on how to improve the quality of
the services provided to diverse members of
our community.
It is built to help the elimination of
racial and ethnic health disparities
and makes services more responsive
to the individual needs of clients.
This training series focuses on providing culturally competent care and ensuring
language access.
The objective is to foster cultural competence
and reflect and respect diversity while planning, evaluating, building community
partnerships
and providing care.
